Have you heard of art journaling?  Perhaps you’ve tried scrapbooking?  Art journaling is a bit like scrapbooking, but maybe the biggest difference is in your intention about what each will become.  When you’re done with a scrapbook, you want it to be a finished product, a collection.  Art journal pages are more fluid, for exploring, going back into pages, meandering, and making changes.  Join art instructor Maya Hum in a two-part class to learn about and try your hand at art journaling.  We’ll talk about:  What is art journaling? How do I start? What are some ideas? What materials should I use?  The classes will include warm-up journal prompts and examples of entries.

In Part 1 we will answer these questions and start our first journal pages!  In Part 2, we’ll explore the “visual recipe” journal entry: Can a recipe be about things other than food? Of course! You can have a recipe for happiness, for laughter, for art, for making memories, for anything really!

Register to attend and to receive the Zoom link. Kits with supplies and instructions will be provided.  Arrangements for pickup of kits will be made by email a week before Part 1.
